10 suspected IS terrorists arrested in Turkey
Ankara, Sep 20 (UNI) Police in Turkey on Tuesday arrested 10 suspected terrorists of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization, including a suicide bomber. Turkish police have arrested these suspected IS terrorists in a security operation conducted in four provinces. According to the report of Xinhua news agency, the army said that these IS terrorists were arrested from Gaziantep province on the Syrian border. These people were trying to enter Turkey illegally. Seven suspects are from Ankara’s central provinces, while three others are from Konya, Kaseri and Gaziantep provinces. These are all foreign nationals who have been arrested together in a police operation. Police have identified the suspects in IS custody through digital material and some photographs recovered from their possession. Police say that the accused carried out armed activities. A large quantity of digital material and organizational documents were seized from them during the police raids. IS was designated a terrorist organization by the Turkish government in 2013 and has been blamed for deadly attacks in Turkey since 2015.
