SRINAGAR // Department of Health and Medical Education has issued orders to temporarily shift CD Hospital Dalgate to GB Panth. In this regard, Principal GMC Srinagar has been asked to prepare an action plan within a few days. Medical Superintendent of CD Hospital Dr. Muhammad Salim Tak said that the Principal GMC Srinagar has prepared an action plan for the transfer of GB Panth. has been asked to do. He said, “I think GB Panth will be transferred within the next 3 weeks, but this transfer is temporary.”

He said that the old buildings of CD Hospital have become very dilapidated, and the work of constructing the new building has been given to JKPCC, but due to the global epidemic, the work on the construction of the hospital could not be started. Dr. Salim said, “Now it has to be seen which agency the government will give the task of building the hospital after three years and what changes will be made in the old project.” He said that steps will be taken about the construction of CD Hospital only after the transfer. Meanwhile, in its latest order, the government has issued an order to transfer the pediatric department from GB Panth to the 500-bed children’s hospital in Bamna. The order states that the Principal GMC Srinagar will take a decision on the transfer after reviewing all the departments at the Children’s Hospital, Bemina. The Health Department has also allowed the principal GMC to continue providing medicine, maternity, dispensary and other services at GB Panth as per the MoU. The order further states that the MRI purchased for GB Panth. and other pediatric equipment has also been approved to be transferred to the Children’s Hospital and the transfer of machinery will be carried out by the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation. The government has allowed the use of the CT scan machine at DRDO Hospital, Bemina for patients coming to Bemina.
