Mohali: Team India created history in the first T20 International match against Australia on Tuesday. India made its best T20 International score against Australia. The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma batted first at the PCA Stadium in Mohali and scored 208/6 in the allotted 20 overs. Earlier, India’s best T20 International score was 200/3 against Australia, which was made on 31 January 2016 in Sydney.
Hardik Pandya (71 *) and KL Rahul (55) played an important role in taking the Indian team to the score of 208/6. Pandya scored the second half-century of his T20 International career and it was also the best innings of his T20 International career. The right-handed batsman scored a half-century in just 30 balls with the help of seven fours and five sixes. At the same time, KL Rahul also scored 55 runs in 35 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes. By the way, a total of 16 fours and 13 sixes were hit during the Indian innings i.e. India’s 142 runs came only from the boundary.
Let us inform that India’s best score in T20 International cricket is 260/5 in 20 overs, which he made against Sri Lanka in Indore on 22 December 2017. This is the 23rd time in T20 International cricket when Team India has scored more than 200 runs. By the way, this is India’s 15th best score in T20 International cricket.
