Gloria is the daughter of Jack White |
That’s what his biggest hit sounds like
He is one of the most successful music producers in Germany, wrote songs for Roberto Blanco, Heino and Tony Marshall – but he also penned world hits like “When The Rain Begins To Fall” by Jermaine Jackson and Pia Zadora or “Looking For Freedom” by David Hasselhoff by Jack White (real name Horst Nussbaum).
Now his daughter Gloria (21) also makes music, which has the same name as one of his biggest hits by Laura Branigan (“Gloria”, platinum in the USA).
“I worked on the song for two and a half years, it’s my baby,” she tells BamS. Their sound is a mix of pop and alternative, their first song is called “Twenty”. “Music is my passion, I wrote my first songs when I was nine and learned to play the guitar and piano.”
Just a few days ago she graduated from the University of UCL in London in the subject of socio-political sciences, now she is fully concentrating on the music. “Now I finally have time and can really live out my passion.
I want to work as a musician and become successful. I write the lyrics of my songs myself, produce them with songwriters in Berlin, LA, New York and Amsterdam. I have an international network.”
And what does dad Jack White say? He is of course proud and says to BamS: “She is a mega talent and would have been a superstar for a long time, but she didn’t want to be the ‘daughter of’ and do it alone. Of course I’m incredibly proud of her and I’m keeping my fingers crossed.”
