- T20 World Cup will be organized in Australia
- Bumrah and Patel will be back in the Indian team
- Both the bowlers are working towards achieving full fitness at the NCA.
Bangalore: Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel are all set to return to the Indian team after recovering from their respective injuries. The pair did not play in the Asia Cup as Harshal Patel was out with a side strain while Jasprit Bumrah was out with a hip injury. The Indian team’s campaign in the Asia Cup 2022 ended in the Super-4 round. Bumrah and Harshal Patel were undergoing the rehab process at the NCA in Bengaluru. According to the report of Cricbuzz, both these players have regained their fitness and bowled in the NCA.
Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel may be picked in the upcoming white-ball series against Australia and South Africa. The team management is keeping an eye on the fitness of both the bowlers. Remind that the Indian team went to Asia A with four fast bowlers. It is expected that Avesh Khan may be replaced by Avesh Khan when Bumrah and Patel return. At the same time, any one spinner from Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel can also be left out from the team.
According to the information, Ravi Bishnoi may have to compromise with his place, who performed effectively against Pakistan. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to injury and Axar Patel is set to get his place. Many questions were raised about the Indian middle order and Mohammed Shami not getting a chance from the Asia Cup. Shami was shown the way out of the T20 format while he is a regular member of 50 overs and Tests.
If the upcoming T20 World Cup is to be held in Australia, then fast bowler Mohammed Shami may return. The Indian team for the T20 World Cup can be announced next week and the question before the captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid is whether to choose between Rishabh Pant or Dinesh Karthik or whether to include both in the team.
