You can eat mutton sukkah easily with this recipe. Mutton Sukka is very tasty to eat. Not much spice is used in making Mutton Sukkah. This is a very powerful recipe made with very few spices. If you are trying this recipe for the first time. Even then your mutton sukkah will turn out delicious.

Ingredients Required – ingredients for Mutton Sukka

  • Mutton = half a kilo (wash the mutton and keep it)
  • Ginger-garlic paste = 3 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder = 1 tsp
  • Green chili = 3 to 4 slits
  • Curry leaves = 7 to 8
  • Onion = 2 medium sized finely chopped
  • salt = as needed
  • Green coriander = 2 tbsp finely chopped

  • oil = cup

To make powdered masala

  • Whole coriander = 2 tsp
  • Black pepper = 2 tsp
  • Jeera = 1 tsp
  • dry red chili = 3

Method – How to make mutton sukka

To make Mutton Sukka, first you have to make powdered masala. So to make powder, keep a pan on medium flame. Then add whole coriander, cumin, dry red chili and black pepper to it and fry them till they get a light aroma while stirring them continuously.

When the aroma starts coming from the spices, then turn off the gas and take out the spices in a plate and leave them to cool. When the spices cool down, then put them in a grinder jar and grind them to make a very fine powder.

Now to cook the mutton, take a pressure cooker and put the washed mutton in the cooker. Then add salt, three teaspoons of ginger-garlic paste to one teaspoon ginger-garlic paste and then add all the spices that you have grinded turmeric powder and powdered spices.

Then to cook the mutton, put a glass of water in it and put the lid of the cooker and put two whistles in the cooker on high flame. Then reduce the gas and let the mutton cook for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, switch off the gas and cook till the pressure of the cooker is gone. Do not open the cooker till then. When the pressure of the cooker is released, then open the cooker and see that your mutton will become tender. Then take out the mutton in a bowl and keep it.

Now to fry the mutton, put oil in a pan and keep it for heating. When the oil is hot, then add onion to it and fry the onion first for a minute. After that add slit green chilies and curry leaves and fry both of them.

You have to fry the onion till it becomes light golden, when the onion starts getting a light golden color, then add the remaining two teaspoons of ginger-garlic paste and fry it too.

After that add cooked mutton to it and mix, you have to fry the mutton. Then add little water to it and fry the mutton till it is done. Till the oil starts separating from the mutton. When you start seeing oil from the mutton, then your mutton is roasted and now you add green coriander and lemon juice and mix it, after that turn off the gas.

Your simple and delicious Mutton Sukka is ready. Which you dish out and eat with your favorite roti.
