Discussion on the formulation of Revised CAPEX 2022-23 and CAPEX Budget 2023-24
Principal Secretary Skill Development Department Dr Asghar Samoon chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial progress achieved by the Department under CAPEX 2022-23 at Civil Secretariat here today. In the meeting, Director Skill Development Department J&K, Chief Engineer R&B Kashmir, Special Secretary Skill Development Department, representatives of JKPCC and other concerned officers participated personally and through video conferencing. Revised CAPEX Budget during the meeting The constitution of 2022-23 and CAPEX budget 2023- 24 were discussed in detail. The status of new polytechnics under capex budget of the department, physical and financial progress under central and state aided projects were also discussed in detail in the meeting. Dr. Asghar Hasan Samoun directed the officers of the concerned implementing agencies to use Funds to complete the remaining works and subsequently hand over all completed projects to the Skill Development Department so that they can be dedicated to the students. The Principal Secretary took serious note of the slow pace of work on some projects. Director Skill Development Department asked to monitor these projects and review the progress of work on these projects regularly so that they can be completed within this financial year. Assuring the availability, he asked the officials to maintain financial discipline while implementing these projects. He urged the officers to complete these projects as per the original scope of work. He asked the officers that all new polytechnic colleges should be made operational in the current financial year and action should be taken expeditiously to complete all the necessary works of administration, hostels, classes and workshop blocks on time. CAPEX Budget 2022-23 and CAPEX Budget 2023-24, Director Skill Development Department asked to maintain coordination with field staff of each district, Principals/Superintendents of Polytechnics and ITIs. During the meeting, the officers of the implementing agencies made a detailed presentation about the physical and financial progress on the ongoing projects of the department.
