  • Australia has launched its team jersey for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022.

Sydney: Defending champions and hosts Australia have unveiled their team’s jersey for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Australia, which was the first to announce the team for the World Cup, has also overtaken all other teams in the matter of unveiling the World Cup jersey. This time the Australian team will go to defend the title in the World Cup wearing an indigenous themed kit. For the first time, the Australian team has featured a symbolic representation of the State’s indigenous people in its global tournament jersey.

Wearing black sleeves, green artwork on the trunk and a jersey with a gold shield, the hosts will challenge the opposing teams on the field. The long sleeve jersey will feature green and gold artwork. The jersey pants will be of black colour. This kit has been designed by Aunts Fiona Clarke and Courtney Hagen in collaboration with Asics. All of them had previously worked together on other indigenously designed jerseys worn by the Australian team.

Australia has got a place in Group 1 of Super-12
The T20 World Cup is going to start on 16 October. Australia have been placed in Group 1 along with Australia, Afghanistan, England, New Zealand. He will start his title-saving campaign against New Zealand on 22 October. So far no team in T20 World Cup history has been able to save the title. In such a situation, it will be a big challenge in front of Australia in front of the domestic audience.
