- Srikkanth not happy with one player in India’s T20 World Cup squad
- Srikanth suggested, which player should be in the team, who should be on standby
Former India captain Kris Srikkanth on Monday said veteran pacer Mohammed Shami should have been part of the 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Srikanth wants to keep Shami in the team in place of Harshal Patel, a specialist last overs bowler.
Fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel have returned to the Indian team for the T20 World Cup starting October 16 in Australia after recovering from injuries. After the announcement of the team, the former chairman of the selection committee on ‘Follow the Blues’ program of ‘Star Sports’ said, “If I were the current chairman of the selection committee, Shami would definitely be in the team.”
