Addressing a press conference today, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra, three days ahead of the “International Coastal Cleanup Day” on September 17. Singh said he will join the campaign on September 17 at Mumbai’s Juhu Beach and said Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP MP Poonam Mahajan and several dignitaries along with Ng. Oz will also join Juhu. The minister also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support through social media. The Prime Minister has called for keeping India’s beaches clean as he praised the efforts of volunteers to remove garbage from Mumbai’s Juhu beach. Responding to a video posted by Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh about the beach cleanup, PM Modi tweeted, “Appreciable…I appreciate all involved in this effort.
